Excellent condition, barely worn
These boots are in nearly-new condition. Made in Portugal ??, NOT CHINA! I initially wrote these off as being cheap Chinese crap like everything else on the market . . . Until I looked closer, MUCH closer. First off, Zara shows this model on their web site and lists its specs. They are indeed made in Portugal with real leather. I’m not a cobbler or even a boot expert, but I know what real leather smells like and when I stuff my nose inside these boots, I smell leather, not plastic. Second, looking very closely at the construction it’s clear to see that the sole and heel are made of leather as well. I can see the tooling marks and the layers built up to form the heel. I am genuinely impressed with the quality put into making these boots. Zara originally listed this model number at $319. Of course that’s MSRP, nonetheless that’s still a pretty steep price for boots unless they are of good quality. I’ve included general pics but also included some very closeup shots that I thought exemplified the evidence of quality. They don’t really do them justice, but I tried. There are no scuff marks or anything other than some regular wear on the bottom of the soles and a little dust in the corners from sitting in the closet.
I have not been able to find this particular style/color combination for sale here on eBay.
Model number (I believe) is 1004/910/202 but on the label there is 1428 after that number.
