ABOUT THE WINE
Solosole (“only sun”) is Poggio al Tesoro’s pure Vermentino, sourced from their Le Sondraie vineyard just 3 kilometers from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The 2023 vintage benefited from warm, dry weather balanced by maritime breezes, yielding fruit of exceptional clarity and aromatic vibrancy. The sandy, well-drained soils of Bolgheri lend a savory minerality and freshness to this Mediterranean white.
Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel to highlight Vermentino’s natural brightness, the wine reveals aromas of white peach, citrus peel, acacia flower, and fresh thyme. The palate is medium-bodied and textured, with a juicy core, crisp acidity, and notes of apricot, grapefruit, and a subtle almond echo. Lees contact adds gentle roundness without compromising the wine’s zesty, seaside character.
Perfect as an aperitif or alongside seafood crudo, grilled prawns, or Tuscan panzanella.
