This is a pair of 1960’s vintage US military celluloid frames.　
These are valuable black color frames and are commonly known as
S9.　
Compared to the brown-colored USS frames, there were
overwhelmingly fewer of these frames manufactured, so they are
very valuable.
USS (U.S. military) eyeglasses were produced by the leading U.S.
eyeglasses manufacturers of the time, such as Romco, Halo, AO, and
B&L, and wholesaled to the U.S. military.
In recent years, frames with the exact same silhouette as this one
have been reprinted and sold by Supreme, TOYS McCoy, and others,
and their popularity seems to have been revived.
The condition is un dead stock and comes with a paper sleeve.
These are simple, non-habitual square Wellington frames that are
easy to match with any outfits.
The size is 48/22 FPD 70mm, which is the most popular size among
USS frames that many people are looking for.
The design looks great with clear lenses or even as sunglasses with
optional lenses.
These frames have been cleaned, polished, and adjusted.
