Loire, France— Chenin Blanc from 40 year old vines that sees 12 months in oak followed by time in stainless steel. Direct press straight to barrel, where it is fermented sur-lees for 15 months. Deep, very rich, with notes of lemon, orange, tea, flowers, minerals, dry sherry, nuances of honey and a very long finish. This vintage is deeper and rounder than previous years, ripe stone fruit cut with intense stoney minerality.
