Frid Niger is one of those people who just understands the connection to the natural world between vine and wine. In the vineyards and the cellar he’s always observant and mindful, with the aim of working in tandem with the forces of nature and never against them. This Syrah is pretty much declassified Chateauneuf-du-Pape, using younger vines of 25-30 years. Fermented and aged in only stainless steel. Vinified without sulfur, fining or filtration. A philosophy of “no make-up”, just true wines without adulteration or article.
