One of those august names and of a deep red tone, with shades of garnet at the rim. Nice dark fruit nose and a very good dark fruit mouthfeel at mid palate. Good tannic structure and a mid-level finish, also of fruit with a touch of graphite or flint. This is mature and good wine, but it isn’t 93 or even 92 points. I’d say 3.9* on the Vivino scale and 89 on the 100 point scale. Good wine, a generous wine to share at a tasting, but it’s not a home run. I wanted it to be, but it fell short a bit.
Amazing bottle, this assembly of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. More concentrated on fruit than on oak and lots of tertiary flavors.
Fine Bordeaux, would have it anytime anywhere. Very well balanced. Buy it, drink it, enjoy every sip of it
