Pre-owned
99 years ago this top drawer piece was created by hand. A fabulous quality, thick and heavy wedding band from the Art Deco period!
In luscious, rich solid 22 carat gold of an incredible strong colour, it’s an excellent size at US 6.75 and can be resized a little if needed. It’s 4 mm wide and over 2 mm high off the finger, giving a depth and weight not found in the more usual one-dimensional bands. It looks and feels like a premium, ultimate quality item, with weight you can sense while wearing and catching the eye from every angle with the miniaturising reflective quality of its surface.
It shows some incredible patina, giving it character and authenticity and making it clear we’re all just custodians of these fabulous quality pieces. Its ratios are particularly pleasing, with a soft, satisfying taper throughout the rounded band surface.
Hidden within is a superb full English hallmark for Birmingham 1925 with the maker’s mark ACCo for quality designer Albion Craft Co. It weighs in at an extremely impressive 7.3 grams and is ready to wear.
