TUDOR Submariner Snowflake Vintage 1974 Collectors Watch 9411 /0 Box Papers
While the Submariner might be the watch most associated with Rolex, its sister brand Tudor offered its own version of the Submariner for over three decades. Distinguished by the Snowflake hour hand – an alternative to Rolex’s ‘Mercedes’ hand – the Tudor Submariner is widely revered by collectors as the most utlitilarian version of the iconic dive watch, due to the larger surface area to apply luminous material.
Introduced in 1968, the Tudor Submariner has undergone several iterations. This 9411/0 reference from 1974 incorporates the iconic design language from its older sibling, yet stands as a collector’s item due to its rarity and distinct design variations, such as its smoked ‘ghost’ bezel. While many components, including case, crown and bracelet, are explicit in its Rolex branding, the overtness of this branding is testament to the quality of Tudor’s offering in the 1970s.
This exquisite example is presented alongside its original box and papers, preserved in original condition.
