Delarche’s Pernand Vergelesses blanc ‘Les Combottes’ is always a favorite of burgundy lovers in the know, when we can get any.
Brilliant green/gold in color, the wine initially has a reticent bouquet that quickly opens with some air time and/or aggressive swirling. aromas of apple, pear, wet stone and a bit of spice then waft forth. On the palate the wine is refreshingly crisp with lovely medium-bodied flavors of green apples, citrus, white flowers and crushed stone with a solid back bone of minerality.
